Iconic, no, legendary bhangra group Apna Sangeet have chosen Sona Web as their north of England PR company, to announce their long-awaited reunion gig. Well, how could we say no?
Apna Sangeet were massive in the 1980s and were household names to many Indian and Pakistani people across the country. Their brand of infective music, including Sona Sona, Soho Road and their self-titled Apna Sangeet brought them fame and success and they have now decided to re-form for a one-off special night in aid of charity.
The group will be taking to the stage in Birmingham on May 29, 2009 for the Bridge of Love Trust, who aim to relieve poverty in India and Sri Lanka. Tickets are selling fast for the night, which also includes a delicious meal provided by local caterers, and fans across the north of England are being urged to book their tables immediately to avoid disappointment.
